I checked it out. Finally. And I’m left wondering who the heck is the British guy with the over-the-top glasses, and what’s with the American cordless power tool? The American guy makes Rocky Balboa look like a towering intellect.

It’s Chris Evans, from what I understand as an American. He’s some rich guy, who once previously appeared on Top Gear with James May driving his super expensive Ferrarri.

The american is Joey from friends or Matt LeBlanc. Evidently all it took to be a host on TG was being somewhat of a car guy. Just because Evans owns some stupid expensive old Ferrari doesn’t mean anything. I don’t get Matt LeBlanc’s reason for being on the show. Unless it was the BBC’s attempt to appeal to a wider audience? I dont know.

The American guy is Joey from Friends. I hope he walks up to a car and says "how YOU doin'?" at some point.

I missed the first couple of episodes. Has there been a Joey sandwich joke yet?

I think they realized Americans get all butthurt when they make jokes at our expense. Clearly they are shifting into pandering mode.

Top Gear isn’t the show to watch if you don’t want someone to hurt your feelings.

Plus if your feelings get so easily hurt, watch HGTV or some shit. It’s 2016, if someone hurts your feelings, go to the nearest bridge and jump.

It’s sad that America has came down to a bunch of sissies who can’t stand being called something they don’t like. I’m glad everyone I know can take a joke and being made fun of.

Some lady told me that what I said was wrong and could hurt someone’s feelings. I was talking to a LONG LONG time friend. I looked at her and said, mind your own business and keep your sissy shit to yourself. She almost cried.

I guess no one has ever told her to keep out of other people conversations.

Matt LeBlanc ha said on many occasions that h likes working in the U.K. And is very much a car guy.

Chris Evans first appeared on U.K. TV back in the 1990s as a host breakfast TV (Big Breakfast) program for young teenagers, he went to more adult themed late evening TV with TFI Friday and then onto BBC radio. He is a well known collector an love of white Ferraris.

Kinja'd!!!

He is an arrogant, obnoxious git for sure. He was also married to Billie Piper before she did Dr WHO.

If I watched more television, maybe I’d know that.

I knew of Evan’s affinity towards white Ferraris, but I didn’t know that LeBlanc was a really big car guy.

I appreciate the knowledge about those 2. Although, it’s just a the more you know thing for me. I’ve already ruled the UK TG out. I just personally stand Evan’s approach to the show. It’s like his caps lock is stuck on. He feels a need to yell all the time, when the previous 3 always seemed like they were just talking a lower audible.

I’ll give it another shot when the other hosts are going to be shown on their own and not with Evans in it. I watched the bit about the Ariel Nomad and didn’t mind LeBlanc on his own.

I probably would have loved TG even more if Evans wasn’t on it. He rubbed me the wrong way as a viewer and I choose not to watch his program when he’s on screen.

He was on Episodes as well as Friends so I guess they thought he would have crossover appeal. Oh and who could forget “Joey” I think they made like one episode or something.

Evans has always been like that, a dick.

Just YouTube ‘Chris Evans Big Breakfast’ or ‘Chris Evans TFI Friday’ and you’ll see he’s just a loud person.

The second episode of TG was much better and to be fair. TG like any new show will take a while to find it’s feet. Take TGUSA for example. They’ve a lot to live up to while making the show theirown.

There is A TG template but each group accessorises it to their ability and audience feedback.

It’s a bit sadder when you’re in your 30s. Ask me how I know.
